2011, Calcutta
India Hobby Center, as the same suggests, was in iconic store where people with any hobby would find something for themselves, ship building models, rare postal stamps, RC planes, scaled models of vintage cars and to top it all, an actual motorbike and helmet used by the Nazis.
I visited this store with my niece Nysha and as we were leaving the store, she asked me if she could take one of the scaled model cars  (Sunbeam Talbot) for a drive. This is where the idea of photographing this series was born.
Over the next 18 months, on almost every Sunday, I would drive around the city in my car with Nysha and her Sunbeam Talbot in tow. Whether its a portrait of childhood or of a city, I don't know.
But I hope you enjoy what you see.
